Our goal for the start of the weekend was to run an 8 straight off the trailer which we achieved!.
Car ran awesome all weekend and we ended up qualifying third which put us against Adam Wigg in the Skyline for first eliminations on Sunday.
Car ran consistant high 8's and a low nine.
Got knocked out in the semis by Dan Tye who was on a blistering pace and the car was running fantastic - dont mind losing to him! he went on to win the finals against Reece McGregor.
Simon saved the final run of the day for his best run - car launched awesome and run perfectly to record a 8.46 @146 mph
I managed to get either in car videos or start line videos of most of the runs except the really quick one so this will have to suffice!

TRYTNC at Masterton
Even better is that the car ran its first eights!
First run was an 8.98? and the second was a 8.77 at 159mp - super cool!
We would have been keen for celebration drinks had we not been so shattered.
Sorry no videos of the runs but here is a photo :)

Testing at Meremere

October 28, 2008
Car now tuned and almost ready to go
It has somewhere in the mid 800hp at the wheels range (will get correct figure!) and the only thing left to do is to change the brake rotors so he can run his new wheel and tyre combo.
First meet is set to be the test and tune at Meremere on the 16th of November followed by the 2 day Masterton meet the weekend after!

Well now i have something to report
October 1, 2008
Not much to report at the moment
Simon has also received the new feet for the car for the season - we put them on a test rim just to be nosey and now we have to decide on a new set of wheels for it as our old ones were a different size (they will also be for sale once we have located new rims!)

Motor pick up
Left Auckland at 2.30am with Feebee as team mascot. It should have been a sign when it was snowing before Taupo heading south. Desert Road was closed but this allowed us Aucklanders to have a bit of a play in the snow..
Waiouru looked stunning all covered in snow (guess people dont call Waiouru stunning very often). The rest of the trip down was pretty uneventful and we arrived in extremely cold Wellington at about midday.
On the way back the snow started pretty early on in the trip - again you would have thought we would have taken heed but nope...
Got turned around at Taihape and ended up having to backtrack through Marton to Wanganui. This is the rest stop at Taihape!
We couldnt find any accomodation in Wanganui or Patea so we ended up smuggling Feebee into a lovely motel in Hawera!
The drive back from the Naki is filled with a long gorge so although we left at around 7.30am we didnt end up getting home till well after midday
If there is any mention of shitty weather when we take it down to be tuned i am staying at home!
