Huge thanks to Fram Autolite Dragway for putting on an awesome weekends racing.

Our goal for the start of the weekend was to run an 8 straight off the trailer which we achieved!.

Car ran awesome all weekend and we ended up qualifying third which put us against Adam Wigg in the Skyline for first eliminations on Sunday.

Car ran consistant high 8's and a low nine.

Got knocked out in the semis by Dan Tye who was on a blistering pace and the car was running fantastic - dont mind losing to him! he went on to win the finals against Reece McGregor.

Simon saved the final run of the day for his best run - car launched awesome and run perfectly to record a 8.46 @146 mph

I managed to get either in car videos or start line videos of most of the runs except the really quick one so this will have to suffice!

TRYTNC at Masterton

We made the journey down to Masterton on the 21st of November for racing the next day. Weather gods were again fabulous to us and we got a awesome day.

Even better is that the car ran its first eights!

First run was an 8.98? and the second was a 8.77 at 159mp - super cool!

We would have been keen for celebration drinks had we not been so shattered.

Sorry no videos of the runs but here is a photo :)

Testing at Meremere

We took the car testing at Meremere yesterday. The weather gods smiled on us and it was a perfect day for it!

We were extremely happy with the car and how it performed and we are really looking forward to this coming weekend when we can hopefully better our PB at the test and tune.

Here is a link to a video and also some photos

Car now tuned and almost ready to go

Simon made the drive to Wellington this Labour weekend to get the car tuned.

It has somewhere in the mid 800hp at the wheels range (will get correct figure!) and the only thing left to do is to change the brake rotors so he can run his new wheel and tyre combo.

First meet is set to be the test and tune at Meremere on the 16th of November followed by the 2 day Masterton meet the weekend after!

Well now i have something to report

I got told off for not mentioning in the last post that the car ACTUALLY runs!

It started without a hitch and sounds mean (actually got some neighbours out of their houses to see what the hell was going on!

Gearbox bits have all arrived and Simon has been busy in the garage sorting that out!

Hopefully the car will be run in up here when Andre is up next week before making a trek to Wellington to have it tuned in the near future!

Not much to report at the moment

The car spent a weekend on Redlines stand at the Speed Show. The car got plenty of attention so we were pretty happy about that.

We are currently awaiting a new gear set to come from Aussie - they are not in stock at the moment so we are having to be patient (which is killing Simon)

The car also now has its own enclosed lockable car trailer - painted the same colour with sponsors stickers to come!

Simon has also received the new feet for the car for the season - we put them on a test rim just to be nosey and now we have to decide on a new set of wheels for it as our old ones were a different size (they will also be for sale once we have located new rims!)

Going back together - 19 & 20th of July

Well finally the car is starting to go back together! All the fiddly wiring jobs are now out of the way, the clutch has arrived from the states and the motor is back in the hole!

Motor pick up

The next time Simon tells me to ignore the weather forecast and that the trip to Wellington will be fine remind me to bitch slap him!

Left Auckland at 2.30am with Feebee as team mascot. It should have been a sign when it was snowing before Taupo heading south. Desert Road was closed but this allowed us Aucklanders to have a bit of a play in the snow..

Waiouru looked stunning all covered in snow (guess people dont call Waiouru stunning very often). The rest of the trip down was pretty uneventful and we arrived in extremely cold Wellington at about midday.

On the way back the snow started pretty early on in the trip - again you would have thought we would have taken heed but nope...

Got turned around at Taihape and ended up having to backtrack through Marton to Wanganui. This is the rest stop at Taihape!

We couldnt find any accomodation in Wanganui or Patea so we ended up smuggling Feebee into a lovely motel in Hawera!

The drive back from the Naki is filled with a long gorge so although we left at around 7.30am we didnt end up getting home till well after midday

If there is any mention of shitty weather when we take it down to be tuned i am staying at home!

A look back

After looking through some photos of how the car used to be i thought i should post them to see how far it has come...

To start with.... we bought it off a very proud lady owner - man would she be pissed now!

The car was a black/green colour when we got it and we painted it this dark purple colour.

After a few days in the workshop we decided that the dark colour was rediculous if we wanted to keep it loooking clean so it went to silver...

TRYTNC Racing got in a full seasons racing and a cover of Performance Car Magazine before we secured a sponsorship deal with Xotica and as a result the car had another change in livery (and i can only tell you now how much i developed a hate for sanding - Kaz)

New Season ahead

Well i thought i should perhaps pull finger and start putting stuff on here!

Tis the 3rd of July and this weekend we will be picking up the new motor for the car. Forecast is for absolutely hideous weather so hopefully the Desert Road stays open long enough for us to complete our mission (plus i want to get some photos of the mountain and play in the snow if i can
